How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?


The position is responsible for assisting the Compliance & Controls department with managing the Company’s internal control environment to ensure compliance with Airgas policies and regulatory standards through continuous improvement in internal control procedures.


  • Review and report on third party SOC reports to senior leadership
  • The position is responsible for assisting the Compliance & Controls department with managing the Company’s internal control environment to ensure compliance with Airgas policies through continuous improvement in internal control procedures. This may include:
  • Control framework reviews, documentation of processes, design and documentation of ITGCS and process related controls
  • Completion of recurring SAP related system controls
  • The Specialist reports to the Senior Manager - Compliance & Controls and interacts closely with other corporate departments.
  • Assist with special projects for the Finance organization
  • Updating policies & procedures, review and assist with fraud prevention controls and management of confidential investigations

Are you a MATCH?


  • Familiarity with Python and other programming languages is a big plus.
  • Preferred CISA or CIA certification, or working towards certification.
  • Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing; strong attention to detail; listens effectively and clarifies information as needed; works well with others in a team.
  • Some data analytical skills from coursework or prior internships; able to structure raw data, build formulas to process data, and create pivot tables and graphs to demonstrate the conclusion from the data.
  • Adheres to Airgas safety programs, OSHA, and all related rules, regulations, procedures which are applicable to this position’s responsibilities. Ability to maintain confidentiality of records.
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in MIS, Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Google Kite platform (Sheets, docs, slides, google drive, etc.); and other computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet, systems documentation, and other business software to prepare work papers, reports, memos, summaries, and analyses
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to include the ability to multi-task and effectively manage projects in a diverse organization. Work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.
