The Opportunity

As a Compliance Analyst, you will work as part of a specialized team with a focus on ensuring company compliance with the laws, regulations, and rules of federal, state, and self-regulatory organizations. Participation in internal and external correspondence to requests coming from regulatory authorities, internal operations and finance teams, federal agencies, and the like, for review or assistance. These requests generally involve applying legal standards to the facts of a particular transaction, providing advice on what is needed to proceed and/or filing reports to ensure compliance.

Job Responsibilities

This position will specifically focus on the following:

• Builds working relationships with state insurance departments and/or other regulatory authorities
• Acts as a liaison between the organization, specific departments/business units, third party vendors, and regulatory authorities
• Prepares and files regulatory and compliance documents and/or reports for state/federal regulatory authorities
• Performs daily reviews, analyzes, interprets, and responds to any non-compliance of the Company’s Anti-Money Laundering program, including transaction monitoring software, and/or other suspicious activities. Refers more complex matters to appropriate staff accordingly.
• Participates in maintaining and retrieving materials from various departmental databases and files
• Technology driven – ability to learn and navigate multiple administrative systems (Bridger, Patriot Manager, LifePro, Onbase, VUE, Excel, etc.), including external applications, on a daily basis
• Participates in matters related to OFAC, FinCEN and other federal regulatory authorities

Minimum Qualifications

Associate Degree or equivalent, with focus on Business, Liberal Arts, or related discipline.

Ideal Qualifications

2-4 years of insurance/securities related experience. Previous compliance, AML and/or cash transaction monitoring experience a plus.
