M/I Financial, LLC a subsidy of M/I Homes has an exciting opportunity for the right person to be part of all aspects of mortgage compliance and quality assurance. This person will assist the Compliance Officer and the Quality Assurance Manager with the following:
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with providing one on one training during quality audits.
• Assist with reviewing loan files to ensure the branch personnel is correctly adhering to regulatory, internal compliance and quality guidelines, and private investor guidelines.
• Review performance of subservicer and other vendors
• Re-underwriting mortgage files
• Willingness to provide suggestions to improve current business processes and system programming to reduce the possibility of errors
• Assist with reviewing and preparing mortgage documents for internal audits and state regulatory exams

Requirements
Skills Required:

• Consistent demonstration of accuracy and thoroughness.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret instructions and various types of written communication.
• Basic knowledge of government and regulatory laws and regulations
• Ability to research and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneous
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various people within an organization including executives, managers, peers, employees, and clients.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Strong reasoning ability. Ability to solve complex problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Qualifications:

• One to two years of experience in regulatory compliance activities, quality control audits, or other related mortgage banking experience.
• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
