Job Description
Essential Job Functions:
  • Actively recruit and hire excellent team members within the market region, assisting all Regional Managers in the hiring process.

  • Assure that all team members are working with integrity.

  • Works with staff within the market region to identify career paths.

  • Identify and orchestrate training for staff to ensure they are given the opportunities to reach their career goals in a timely manner.

  • Create opportunities for staff to work with others to ensure they are trained properly.

  • Work with Senior management to establish goals for the market region

  • Allocate goals to the Regional Managers in the market region.

  • Regularly recognize staff accomplishments and outstanding performance.

  • Hold annual market regional meetings to allow recognition of outstanding performance within the market region.

  • Train Regional Managers in budgeting, coaching, and identifying career paths for their staff.

  • Hold Regional Managers accountable for both overall team performance.

  • Assist Regional Managers to identify an understand credit issues and develop expertise for targeted niche markets or industries that may provide opportunities for expanded loan and deposit growth.

  • Review request for waiving Pre Payment Fees.

  • Review request for pricing exceptions

  • Review request for credit policy exceptions

  • Work with executive management on bank projects as assigned.

  • Proficient in budgeting 1-3 years out.

  • Builds relationships with regional managers and/or market presidents of competing banks.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, finance, accounting, or related field or equivalent work experience.

  • Master’s Degree valued

  • 10 + years of commercial lending experience

  • 4+ years in a team leadership position.

  • Extensive experience in sales, sales management, and staff supervision.

  • Leadership: demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through collaboration with internal and external constituents.

  • Ability to motivate and lead a diverse group of highly talented individuals

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication and active listening skills, including presentations, negotiations and routine interactions.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of all Federal Regulation relevant to Commercial Banking as well as proficiency in understanding CB Credit Policies and Procedures.

  • Sales Management acumen and ability to direct individual activities proven to attract, expand and increase relationships for CB.

  • Extensive credit experience and acumen in the Commercial Bank line of business.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of bank product and service capabilities

  • Planning: ability to think ahead and plan over a 1-3 year time frame

  • Ability to prepare budgets and establish goals to achieve the bank’s financial objectives

  • Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and processes.

  • Cooperation: ability to sell ideas to peers, subordinates, and superiors in the company

  • Support product training that enables total bank relationship opportunities and facilitates recognition and creation of cross sell referrals.

  • Ability to build cohesive teams and key staff retention.

  • Ability to have an active pipeline of high value candidates for any open positions that may occur within the team.

  • Maintain complete confidentiality with all interactions

  • Understand and utilize SMART goals (Specific, Motivating, Attainable, Relevant and Trackable)

Physical and Mental Requirements:
  • Ability to sit at a computer monitor for extended periods of time

  • Ability to perform repetitive finger, hand, and arm movements

We offer a competitive total rewards package including base salary and comprehensive benefits. The salary range for this role is $95,000 - $285,000, and the pay rate for the successful applicant depends on a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
