- Practitioners may also include:
- Possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude needed to appreciate and encourage diversity, and understand the concept of cultural trauma as it applies to individual and family functioning.
- Experience working with children and families in a community-based or "in-home" setting.
- Experience with the foster care system, specifically with foster parents and youth preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree with:
- Registered Professional Nurses with one year of behavioral health experience.
- Three years applicable experience in childrens mental health, addiction, and/or foster care/child welfare/juvenile justice or other related human services field and certification in an Evidenced Based Practice. OR
- Excellent communication, organizational and collaboration skills.
- One year of applicable experience. OR
- Certification in an Evidence-Based Practice consistent with the Community-Based Support Counselor components being delivered. OR
- A strong belief in the capacity of people to grow and change.
- Certification in an Evidence-Based Practice.
- Licensed Occupational Therapists to the extent they are operating under the scope of their license.
- Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related human services with:
- Computer work requires sitting at a desk for long periods of time
- Use of a personal vehicle for driving to and from appointments and activities as assigned.
- Lifting up to 10 pounds
- Time on your feet for up to several hours a day
- Time driving and/or taking public transportation to conduct client and family visits
