Community and Content Manager (Entry Level Position)
Position Type: Contractor - Part-Time (Full-time could be considered)

Startup Basecamp (SBC) is seeking an online community & content manager responsible for providing and developing a high-quality community experience for membership initiatives and creating content for our online community.
The Community & Content Manager works closely with the ecosystems founders and partners to develop, coordinate, implement, and oversee all Startup Basecamp events and community programs.
Experience in online community management, copywriting, and marketing, an understanding of startups/ climate issues, and a proactive, resourceful outlook is required.

Your responsibilities:
- Monitor and stay on top of the climate tech ecosystem
- Greet, introduce, and connect new members to the community
- Copywrite marketing and web content
- Support online events organization
- Connect & communicate across the climate tech ecosystem with partners, founders and investors
- Run a weekly newsletter
- Collect member feedback and support improvements & new ideas
- Track and analyse performance on social media and create strategies for improvement
- Curate & share climate-related content, events & job positions
- Create and share climate-related content
- Create marketing funnels and communication, monitor conversion
Requirements:
We are looking for someone enthusiastic and comfortable with getting stuck in when launching, engaging and retaining users within our community — we are seeking an individual who is proactive, autonomous, and hungry to learn and grow within the Climate Tech industry.
Candidate must-haves:
- Be a quick learner, multi-tasker, hard worker and adaptable to a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional writing and verbal skills (native/near-native in English)
- Experience launching and executing community initiatives to foster community engagement and growth
- Possess basic knowledge and a strong interest and passion in entrepreneurship, startups, & climate tech
- Capable of using the following platforms: WordPress and LinkedIn (required), Mailchimp, Zoom, Basecamp, and Airtable are a plus
- Able to engage with the Startup Basecamp community across multiple platforms and Social Media channels (FaceBook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, and more) to grow our relevance and impact among our users
- Happy to e-meet new people and have experience managing and engaging online communities
- Understanding online marketing and marketing channels, including best practices, metrics and measurements to ensure we are executing our strategies across lead generation, marketing and KPI monitoring
- Preferable marketing outreach, content & copywriting experience
