Job Description
LeoStella is a state-of-the-art small satellite design and manufacturing company based in the Seattle area. At LeoStella, we are redefining how high-quality satellite constellations are built at scale. Our focus is on developing and using intelligent and agile engineering and manufacturing processes to accelerate the development and production of small-sat constellations, all while lowering costs and increasing on-orbit capabilities.

Position Description:


As the Communications & Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing and communications strategies to promote our small satellite products and services. You will work closely with our leadership team to enhance brand awareness and support business growth. You will be the primary driver of communications marketing initiatives, ensuring consistency and effectiveness across all channels, with a small bench of consultant support.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Plan and execute public events, industry conferences and media interviews.
  • Develop a strong social media presence, engaging with the online community and responding to inquiries and comments.
  • Create compelling and persuasive collateral, including brochures, presentations, case studies, and white papers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Provide guidance and support to other team members on marketing and communication matters.
  • Plan and execute public events, industry conferences and media interviews.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to define target markets and customer personas, and tailor marketing messages accordingly.
  • Utilize analytics and tracking tools to measure the effectiveness efforts, and make data-driven decisions to optimize campaigns and maximize ROI.
  • Build and nurture relationships with media outlets, industry influencers, and strategic partners to increase brand exposure and generate PR opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to define target markets and customer personas, and tailor marketing messages accordingly.
  • Create and execute integrated event and marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital advertising, experiential (tradeshow), social media, and content marketing.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitors' activities to identify new opportunities and develop competitive strategies.
  • Effectively manage and track expenses and ensuring cost-efficiency while delivering result within budget.
  • Develop and implement the company's communications strategy to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth.
  • Manage the company's website and optimize its content to improve organic search rankings and user experience.


Required Qualifications:


  • Professional marketing, communications, or branding experience in the aerospace industry (satellites, human spacecraft, launch vehicles, aircraft, etc.)
  • Proven experience of 10+ years in marketing and communications roles
  • Must be a US Person (US Citizen or Green Card Holder)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging and persuasive content.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, branding, and PR best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive marketing decisions.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and website management.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools, including social media management platforms, email marketing software, and analytics tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field. Additional certifications in digital marketing or similar areas are a plus.

  • Previous experience managing external consultants or agencies


Compensation & Benefits:
  • Employer-paid Medical, Dental, Vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, short and long-term disability.
  • Your level/title, base salary, and bonus will be determined on a case by case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
  • Supplemental paid parental leave
  • Paid Time Off and Flexible Schedule: You may accrue 4 weeks paid time off per year, in addition to 8 company holidays. You may also have the choice to take Flexible Friday off every other week.
  • Base salary is one part of your total rewards package - you may also be eligible for up to 10+% potential bonuses. Additional employee benefits are detailed below as well.

  • Compensation range is $100-120k and 10%+ target bonus
  • 401(k) with up to 3% company match
