We are a trusted organization that serves nearly 30,000 youth and adults from yearly from more than 50 school districts and nearly 70 private schools and community organizations across 19 Pennsylvania counties. Our mission is to engage all children in the support they need to succeed.

We are looking for a full-time Communications Assistant who will work in a positive, mission-driven environment. This position reports to the Communications Director and works collaboratively with other leaders in the organization and region to ensure a strong digital media presence.

The Communications Assistant is responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring The Learning Lamp's social media strategy in order to increase brand awareness, improve marketing efforts, increase enrollment and improve recruiting strategies.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community
• Use social media marketing tools such as Meta Business Suite
• Work with recruiter to generate a plan to attract talent for high priority positions
• Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
• Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network
• Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
• Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
• Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company's social content
• Manage and optimize Google Ad campaigns - create, update, monitor ad copies, adjust keywords, find suitable bids, and other important aspects
• Collaborate with other departments to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions

Giants Baseball & Softball Camps operate camps around the San Francisco bay area to boys and girls ages 4-13. Giants Baseball & Softball Camps enrich the lives of children through exceptional instruction, character development, and a unique major league experience that creates lasting memories. Giants Baseball & Softball Camps features five action-packed days of individualized instruction, marquee competitions, and special events. Each day of Giants Camp features a personal character theme, teaching campers lessons on the diamond that they can utilize off the field to become more outstanding young men and women.
Responsibilities

• Provide feedback and suggestions during drills and games
• Manage and motivate campers to have fun each day of camp
• Execute San Francisco Giants Camps Curriculum daily, under the direction of the Site Director
• Work together with other team members from various backgrounds to uphold the Giants Baseball Camps stellar reputation
• Ensure a safe camp environment for all campers

Qualifications

• Be able to pass a comprehensive background screening
• Have experience attending or working at a summer camp
• Have softball and child management experience
• Be prepared to make a commitment Monday-Friday for approximately eight hours per day, preferably for a minimum 2-4 week commitment
• Be prepared to travel to each site with reliable transportation of your own
