Commercial Real Estate Analyst

Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation (the “Company”), a subsidiary of Marcus & Millichap, Inc.(NYSE:MMI)is seeking an Analyst to join the team of a top performing capital markets advisor located in Miami, FL. The candidate will be primarily responsible for underwriting financing opportunities, financial modeling, producing high quality marketing materials and delivering detailed market analysis to secure debt and equity financing for commercial real estate developers, investors, and owners on a wide range of property types including multifamily, retail, office & industrial, hospitality and specialty asset classes.

Key Responsibilities

• Interact with clients, lenders, prospective buyers, equity investors, and investment sales agents.
• Assist lenders and borrowers with obtaining approval and closing transactions
• Research and evaluate economic, demographic, and real estate market data.
• Analyze and underwrite transactions and prepare executive summaries for offering memorandum.
• Prepare presentations, offering memorandum and financial reports.
• Responsible for the timely execution of special projects.
• Review and analyze legal documents.
• Develop pro-forma financials and cash flow models.

Key Attributes/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or commercial real estate preferred.
• Availability for North American travel.
• Preferred experience with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and HUD loan products and underwriting.
• Flexible attitude with the ability to handle change effectively.
• 2-3 years commercial real estate experience in banking and/or underwriting.
• Desire to work hard and to learn.
• Independent worker with a team player attitude.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong modeling skills with core competency with Excel and Argus.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks accurately and productively during time sensitive situations.
• High attention to detail in analytical assessments and valuations.
