College Academic Advisor: Wellness Coaching

We’re in the midst of an exploding youth health crisis.

At Bonfire Digital Wellness (www.BonfireDW.org), we’re on a mission to ensure every young person is seen, heard and positively motivated to optimize their wellbeing and performance.

Our virtual wellness platform provides easy, affordable access to “whole student” supports and resources including social, emotional, wellness and academic 1:1 and group coaching and mentoring from licensed school counselors.

It all takes place online, so it’s super easy for families to feel empowered and remain FIT.

We’re looking for caring, kind and compassionate coaches to join our team.

This is a web-based, part-time role. 5 to 15 hours per week.

Through positive reinforcement and a coaching technique that leads with listening and empathy, we deliver tools and strategies to foster healthy habits and a growth mindset.

We’re seeking nurturing coaches with the following qualifications:

• Sensitivity to parents/students with diverse backgrounds and learning needs
• Master’s Degree in School Counseling and at least two year’s experience
• Excellent ability to connect with students/parents through a screen
• Excellent listening skills
• Understanding and facilitation of learning strategies and motivational techniques
• Proven experience building inclusive learning environments
• Excellent organizational and written and oral communication skills, including the ability to engage groups of up to 8
• Caring, kind, and compassionate
• Customer service-oriented and client-focused
• Active school counseling license/certification
• Ability to hold yourself accountable to helping clients achieve their goals

Responsibilities:

• Ability to work a varied schedule with flexible hours, including evening and occasional weekend hours
• Coach students in executive function skills and balancing technology in individual or group settings
• Maintain strict confidentiality of every interaction with clients
• Utilize evidence-based practices in coaching (motivational interviewing)
• Provide 1-to-1 and up to 10-to-1 coaching in success and digital wellness (training will be provided) to students ranging from K - 16
• Develop reports and participate in the assessment of the effectiveness of coaching initiatives

Compensation: Starting at $35/hr, and then bumps up to $40 after 3 months, plus bonuses for renewals and referrals.
