Colleague Relations Partner - Remote

Job Summary


Responsible for coaching and consulting managers, leaders, and Colleagues on issues related to team relations; including, performance


improvement plans (PIPs), corrective actions (CARs), HR Ethics Helpline complaints, etc. In addition, the position will conduct Human


Resource ethics investigations and audits within a geographic area. Proactively work with HR Leadership to develop plans and strategies to adhere to HR compliance policies while maintaining positive colleague relations.


Key Performance Indicators


  • Success Rate of PIPs for colleagues
  • Colleague relations reporting and analytics tracking related to PIPs, CARs, and ethics cases
  • Assess and identify potential areas for union activity or labor relations concerns
  • Ensuring compliance maintained from federal, state, and local jurisdictions


Principal Duties and Responsibilities


  • Provide assistance in training, development and support of local HR management in all areas of HR/ER compliance.
  • Manage and/or conduct HR Audit compliance activities within geographic area, including re-audits.
  • Conducting investigations in response to Colleague or management incidents or complaint allegations.
  • Supports plans and strategies to ensure adherence to all Company compliance and associate relations initiatives by working with business unit HR leadership across all brands.
  • Running, producing, and distributing information and statistical/operational reports for the core Colleague relations function
  • Coach and consult managers and Colleagues on approach and application of correction actions related to Colleagues and managers; including PIPs, CARs, etc.
  • Coach and consult managers and Colleagues in the resolution of Colleague issues and grievances. Activities may include conducting preliminary interviews, documenting findings/recommendations, and advising managers on dealing with Colleague performance issues using authorized processes.
  • Reviewing, approving, and filing disciplinary action cases, including disciplinary action for managers.
  • Researching best/leading practices and providing advice/presenting on current Colleague relations issues and trends.
  • Investigate and manage Ethics Helpline HR complaints within geographic area.
  • Collecting, tracking, and maintaining Colleague data

Required Leadership Traits and Characteristics


Formal Education, Qualifications Or Training


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, Industrial Relations, Psychology or a related discipline required. JD or Masters Degree preferred
  • Generally 1+ years of solid, progressively responsible Human Resources experience with knowledge and understanding of federal and state regulations; including EEO, DOL, FLSA, NLRA, WARN, labor and employment laws

Incumbent Must Be Prepared To


  • Express or exchange ideas with others through the use of spoken word, quickly, accurately, and at an easily audible volume, and receive detailed information through oral communication at usual speaking levels without correction, and/or make fine discriminations in the nature of sounds in the environment.
  • Sitting for long periods of time while using office equipment such as computers, phones and etc.
  • Move up to 10 pounds occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.
  • Fingering and Repetitive motions; such as movement of wrists, hands and fingers while picking, pinching and typing during your normal working environment.


Incumbent Is Required To Have


  • Close visual acuity to perform detail-oriented activities at distances close to the eyes, as well as visual acuity to perform activities at or within arm’s reach with skill, control, and accuracy, such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer screen and expansive reading.


Incumbent Will Be Subject To


  • Inside working conditions: The change of building environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
