CNC PROGRAMMER - 1st Shift (DIRECT HIRE)

Are you looking to use your CNC machining skills without the high stress work environment? We have the perfect place for you! Our client is a full-service fabricator located in Almont and they are looking for a dedicated and experienced programmer to join their work family on the first shift. This job requires operating various CNC machines to fabricate and manufacture parts. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm with some Saturday overtime from 6:00 am to 11:00 am. The pay rate is $22.00 to $28.00 per hour based on experience.

Duties/Responsibilities:

bull; Operates Fadal and Haas CNC Machines.

bull; Ability to operate and set up Bridgeport Machines.

bull; Calculates dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments.

bull; Ability to read calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, protractor, and other various pieces of inspection equipment.

bull; Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines.

bull; Reads and interprets blueprints and design sketches in both Metric and US measuring systems to ensure proper dimensions and specifications for parts.

bull; Measures, examines and tests completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications; adjusts machine controls to resolve production errors.

bull; Checks parts to ensure they are meeting the company's standards before moving to the next department.

Required Skills/Abilities:

bull; Work with hands, lifting and moving large pieces of metal, standing for hours at a time.

bull; Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

bull; Strong analytical skills to monitor work processes, inspect various types of metal, read, and interpret blueprints that contain precise measurements, and to make calculations necessary to cut metal to match specific designs.

bull; Excellent communication skills to work in a collaborative environment with other team members.

bull; Strong measuring skills working with multiple measuring tools to make precise measurements using metric and US measuring systems.

bull; Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and ability to look ahead to upcoming jobs while running current job.
