Job Description

Position Summary: CNC machinist / programmer for small batch industrial parts and short run production using vertical milling and or turning centers. The successful candidate will be able to process, program and machine a given work piece with little or no help. The successful candidate will also have a key roll in group part processing decisions. This is a key position in our organization which requires desire, dedication, contribution and resilience. Wage is will be negotiated on an individual basis, based on experience, knowledge and wisdom.


Responsibilities

  • Review part model
  • Read part prints
  • Determine machining process
  • Develop part program (cutter path)
  • Maintains work area
  • Deburr and prepare work piece next operation
  • Inspect work piece were applicable
  • Program via G and M code or CAM software
  • Determine part fixturing
  • Determine tooling
  • Machine work piece



Qualifications

  • Work well and collaborate with others
  • Ability to determine proper speeds and feeds ( and or know how to look up base values)
  • Desktop computer skills (email, pdf viewers, file manipulation, etc.)
  • G and M code ( at the control programming)
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • 5 axis programming or the ability to learn
  • CAM software (Bob CAD, Mastercam)
  • Shop Math
  • 3+2 programming or the ability to learn
  • 2D programming
  • 3D programming
