Job Description
GEICO FinOps is looking for a Cloud Solution Engineer with expertise in application architecture, design, and development using cloud-based technologies. This role requires collaboration with Enterprise Architecture, Platform Engineering, and other GEICO teams and help mature FinOps initiatives and drive GEICO cloud transformation initiatives.
The successful candidate will have a strong to desire to deliver the best customer experiences leveraging modern architectures, tools, and technologies. Strong design, coding, and problem-solving skills backed with good verbal and written communication skills are a must. The ideal candidate will have experience in Azure, AWS, and other cloud platforms (IBM, Salesforce, Google).
Required skills
  • 5+ years of cloud development experience
  • Solid experience in Azure Cloud application development and services
  • Strong experience in developing .NET applications using C#, Asp.net, ASP.net core, Web API, Angular, React, Entity framework, ADO, Git, and PowerShell
  • Expert level in Azure Platform Infrastructure
  • Experienced in PowerShell scripting, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics
  • Strong foundation in application design, architecture, design patterns, and software engineering principles
  • Driven to achieve successful results as part of a team
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Grade will be decided based on qualification and experience.
  • Asynchronous communication mechanism design and implementation using messaging and storage frameworks like Azure Service Bus, and Event Hubs
  • Ability to work independently while supporting multiple projects in a dynamic environment
  • Must possess a strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and motivation
  • Design, build, and maintenance of cloud environments in Azure, utilizing IaaS, Pass, and SaaS Cloud Service model.
  • Experience with enterprise web applications with distributed components, web services and Microservices using various system level and Object-Oriented architectures

  • Required: AZ-900

Annual Salary
$82,000.00 - $185,000.00
The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
