Job Description

JOB PURPOSE: Administrative and operational responsibility for assigned departments, including management of cost and finance, human resources, routine operations, quality of care and clinical outcomes, patient/client and staff satisfaction, change management and any other relevant responsibilities related to this position. Serves as part of a collaborative service-line management team focused on promoting the mission, vision and values of Piedmont Healthcare, embracing a person-centered philosophy while promoting imaging services across the continuum and enhancing value-driven outcomes. Assists in staffing as necessary. Able to provide clinical care for adolescent, adult and geriatric cardiac patients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ensures that administrative and operational processes occur daily and an on an ongoing basis.
2. Responsible for ensuring modality schedules are maintained and that there is adequate staffing.
3. Participates in preparation of departmental budgets.
4. Provides human resources management, which includes staff education, performance management and monitoring staff performance.
5. Markets services and programs to enhance utilization and awareness.
6. Measures quality and outcomes to ensure the provision of quality patient care services.
7. Promotes service excellence.
8. Acts as a liaison between customers, technical staff, medical staff, and other departments within the hospital.

Skill and ability in Microsoft Office Applications
Ability to work as a member of a team.

Requirements

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelor Degree preferred. Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or Nuclear Medicine program or Graduate of a Nursing Program.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Five (5) years of previous experience as an imaging technologists or as in inpatient / outpatient nurse.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Must be ARRT or ARDMS or NMTCB registered, or have a current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
BLS certification required
Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred.
