Job Description
machineMD is a medical device company, founded in Bern, Switzerland, in 2019, that develops innovative solutions to radically improve early detection of brain disorders. The company combines Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence to empower neurologists and ophthalmologists with reliable diagnostic data.

By the end of 2023, machineMD will launch our first medical device, neos™, to early adopters in the USA, UK, and Switzerland. This non-invasive diagnostic device will provide automated and quantitative tests that replicate existing examinations, including visual field, ocular alignment, and pupillometry. Accordingly, a subsidiary of machineMD will be incorporated in the USA.

We are seeking an entrepreneurial Clinical Application Specialist based in Massachusetts to launch neos™ in the US. This role is a key part of the Commercial Team and reports to the Head of Commercial Strategy.

Tasks

  • Partner with leading research institutions to study the regular use of neos™ and support further development of machineMD’s products.
  • Be a customer champion, representing the interests of early adopters and research partners within machineMD
  • Potential to lead growth of the US Commercial Team to effectively supply and support early adopters.
  • Lead market access initiatives, including building health economic evidence.
  • Position neos® as a new Gold Standard for eye movement and pupillometry examinations.
  • Identify, qualify, and generate new business with prospective early adopters representative of our target customer group: neuro-ophthalmologists, ophthalmologists, optometrists, and neurologists.

Requirements

  • You are familiar with working in a regulated environment, such as with medical devices.
  • You are fluent in English; any other language is a plus.
  • You have strong skills in Microsoft Office; any other business applications are a plus.
  • You are excited by the opportunity to bring a new medical device to market and are adaptable across a variety of commercial roles.
  • You have 2-4 years’ industry experience in commercial roles (sales, marketing, business development), ideally during market launches of medical devices.
