Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a Clinic Manager to join our Erie, PA Leadership team.


The Clinic Manager provides values-based leadership to assigned areas and services of responsibility by providing direction, advice and oversight in areas of clinical care and regulatory compliance. Reporting directly to the Clinic Director this position provides leadership and supervision of clinical staff within assigned areas and services. Assigned areas of responsibility include the following clinical services and functions Outpatient Services, Care Management, Rehabilitation, Telehealth, Motion Analysis and other clinical support areas.


Accountable for all aspects of the assigned services' performance including development and maintenance of the high performance culture and positive work environment required to drive quality care and optimal patient outcomes, patient experience, regulatory compliance, safety, and financial stewardship (to patient and Shriners Children's). Responsible for planning, evaluating, organizing and supervising all staff and activities related to areas of responsibility, including oversight of identified process improvement opportunities. Identify, implement, and monitor improvement opportunities to create operational efficiencies, care enhancements, growth opportunity and strategic alignment, including resource optimization and advancements in patient care. Effectively engages others in change management and organization transformation, developing a collaborative relationship within facility, market and system as applicable). Participates in facility leadership activities/committees, general/strategic planning, and other projects as assigned.


Education


Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare field required, Master’s degree preferred with current license in a professional health care field.


Experience


2 years of pediatric orthopedics experience required.


3 years of progressive leadership / management development required.


3 years of management/supervisory experience in a healthcare setting required.


Experience With Outpatient Clinic Operations Preferred.


Experience with utilization review/management, working knowledge of Medical Necessity Criteria (InterQual).


Experience with Disease Management and application of motivational interview techniques preferred.


Skills


Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).


Strong analytical, problem solving, and leadership skills.


Effective interpersonal and communication skills.


Bilingual in English and one additional language (as indicated by SHC patient demographics) preferred.

The Clinic Director provides values-based leadership by providing direction, advice and oversight in the areas of operations, clinical care and regulatory compliance, with all clinical and support functions/services. Accountable for all aspects of the assigned services' performance including development and maintenance of high performance culture and positive work environment required to drive quality care and optimal patient outcomes, patient experience, regulatory compliance, safety, and financial stewardship (to patient and Shriners Children's).


Responsible for planning, evaluating, and organizing all staff and activities related to the clinic, including oversight of identified process improvement opportunities. Identify, implement, and monitor improvement opportunities to create operational efficiencies, care enhancements, growth opportunity and strategic alignment, including resource optimization and advancements in patient care. Participates and/or leads facility leadership activities/committees, general/strategic planning, and other projects as assigned, in conjunction with the Market Administrator and corporate leaders.


Experience Required/Preferred


  • Knowledge of Epic preferred
  • 7 years Management experience in a healthcare medical practice required


Education


  • CMPE (MGMA) or CPPM (AAPC) preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in healthcare administration or health management field, or equivalent experience in a healthcare practice setting, required
