This position will be located in the Phoenix, AZ area.
Position Responsibilities:
- Take statements from insureds, claimants, and witnesses Obtain and review evidence, reports, and medical records Investigate losses and identify coverage issues.
- Attends Basic Claims training, together with any other programs of study selected for the employee's training. Travel may be required during training.
- Must maintain a passing average in all formal courses that have been developed for the individual. An acceptable level of competencies pertaining to the position must be maintained. Formal Performance Evaluations must result in a "Meets Expectations" or higher rating.
- Negotiate settlements with claimants and claimant’s attorneys.
- State Licensing exams required to fulfill licensing requirements in the States to be handled. If State has required time period to secure license, employee must be in compliance within that stated time period.
- Research state laws and medical terms.
Position Qualifications:
- Bilingual is a plus but not required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient typing/computer skills.
- This position is a remote role and can work from a US based home.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree or 1+ years of insurance experience or 3 years equivalent professional experience required.
The range for this position is $33,100.00 to $55,400.00. When determining candidate offers, we consider experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location among other factors. This job is also eligible for our Kemper benefits package (Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, 401k, etc.)
