The City of Albany’s Civil Works Team is looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and customer focused individual for a Civil Worker position. The role is available from level 3 to 6 dependent on your level of skills, experience, and qualifications.

Reporting to the Leading Hand - Civil Works, this role will see you responsible for safely and responsibly operating plant and equipment and undertaking manual tasks. The Civil Works Team perform a wide range of tasks including road construction and maintenance, drainage, concrete works, signage, road sweeping, fencing and general maintenance.

Desired Skills And Experience

Possession of excellent interpersonal skills, basic oral, written and numeracy skills along with physical fitness capable of undertaking manual labor are essential.

Previous experience as a machine operator (with associated tickets) and working in a civil construction team is required for levels 4, 5 and 6 but not for level 3.
