Job Summary

We’re always on the lookout for inspiring and servant-leaders for our Center Director/Site Supervisor role. Our Center Directors provide leadership to our center staff to enable high-quality family and child experiences at our centers. The ideal Center Director is a servant leader, relationship builder, and talent developer who can inspire a team while also partnering with our regional supports to ensure the success of the center.

As Our Center Director You Will:

  • Partner with Brella’s People team to recruit and effectively onboard center staff ensuring teacher ratios are always met
  • Support in-classroom to ensure curriculum, child development, and teaching standards are being met
  • Establish clear communication channels and cadence with staff
  • Inspire, coach, and develop a team of motivated educators, conducting regular observations paired with meaningful feedback, 1:1s , and establishing opportunities to support career growth
  • Ensure compliance with all state laws and center policies and procedures as well as interface with local licensing representatives
  • Oversee Brella’s child care and education program to deliver the highest quality developmental experience for children ages 3 months- 6 years old
  • Engage in regular and proactive connections with families and manage parent communications around curriculum, child development and experience
  • Lead tours and ensure warm welcomes of new families
  • Support families through transitions into and out of our center and embrace Brella’s flexible model and approach
  • Ensuring adherence to health, safety, and licensing requirements
  • Manage the center-wide execution of Brella’s curriculum across all age groups and in line with brand expectations

Experiences, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Interest in innovation within the childcare model and a passion to develop a more flexible childcare solutions
  • Experience with and an interest in curriculum execution across a variety of ages and experiences including science, art, music, pre-literacy and gross-motor
  • A solutions-focused and creative approach to problem-solving
  • A strong track record of hiring, retaining, training, mentoring, and growing teachers
  • Required - Meets the Child Care Center Director Title 22 qualifications
  • Experiences ramping a new child care centers and working in larger centers (Preferred)
  • Comfort using and leveraging technology
  • Knowledge of Title 22 licensing requirements for Early Childhood Education
  • Excellent parent communication skills and ability to understand parent needs and perspectives
  • Thorough knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices as well as an understanding of or familiarity with Reggio, Montessori, and/or RIE principles
  • 5+ Years of Experience in an administrative/leadership role preferably at a child care/preschool
  • A collaborative servant-leader with demonstrated experience managing a large multi-age child development program

Physical Demands

  • Ability to physically handle children between 0-5 years of age using appropriate techniques. Ability to lift children up to 50 pounds.
  • Demonstrate full range of motion to lift, reach, squat, climb, sit, walk, bend and otherwise fully participate in activities. Standing for long periods of time.
  • Respond immediately and appropriately to multiple or unexpected situations or emergencies.
  • Maintain mental and physical alertness and an appropriate level of energy to perform essential job requirements.
  • Follow state, federal and Brellas' guidelines regarding immunizations, employment physical, and required health and safety training and practices.

Hiring Pay Range: $65,000 - $80,000 yearly, placement in the range is dependent on education, relevant experience aligned to requirements and capabilities as assessed in the interviews.
