Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with network architect, planning, engineering, and operations teams to develop roadmaps and time-bound, metrics-driven execution plans and milestones.
- Strategic Collaboration and Partnerships - Collaborates with stakeholders to coordinate the development of specifications based. Maintains, establishes, and develops new strategic partnerships with governance committees, management, stakeholders, customers, and vendors. Serves as a strategic technical resource for other technical teams or organizations. Serves as a contributor to the Architect Review Board (ARB) responsible for setting network technical standards and strategic direction. Meets vendors to review technology roadmaps. Works with vendors on demos or labs to test new technology. Drive the planning and execution of proof-of-concept projects and lab testing through delivery, particularly virtualization and software-defined networks (SDN).
- Ensures the development of standard operating procedures for strategic network research teams. Oversees the approval and coordination of documentation provided to executive management, customers, stakeholders, and vendors. Works with the management and engineers on documentation for SoP's. Works with leadership and business continuity on DR plans.
- Provide highly technical, hands-on engineering oversight across network teams to drive complex network transformation initiatives involving various technologies, vendor solutions, and tools.
- Incident, Problem and Change Management - Anticipates internal and/or external business challenges and/or regulatory issues. Recommends process, product, or service improvements. Solves unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the enterprise's IT services and products. Reviews and approves changes requested by the engineers.
- Strategic Research and Planning - Leads the strategic and long-term analysis on specific and specialized technology and organization needs. Develops alternate plans, and problem resolutions based on stakeholder needs and makes recommendations. Establishes strategic quantity standards, procedures, and guidelines for design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise solutions. Contributes to the planning strategic strategy planning.
