Lifehouse, Inc., a nonprofit organization supporting people with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) in the Bay Area, is seeking to hire a Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Summary
We are seeking a visionary and inclusive Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide executive leadership and ensure the long-term financial sustainability of our non-profit organization. The CFO will oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance department, mentor team leaders, and strategically grow our impact and programs. As a key member of the leadership team and reporting to the CEO, the CFO will collaborate with the CEO and Board of Directors to set and implement the organization's strategic direction. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a strategic mindset, and a passion for our mission.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following;
Executive Leadership and Organizational Management
- Provide empowering executive leadership that aligns with the organization's mission.
- Inspire a professional, results-driven environment across the organization.
- Oversee the finance department's day-to-day operations for long-term success.
- Foster collaboration and recognize positive contributions within and between departments.
Strategic Financial Management
- Oversee property management and staff the housing corporations' Board of Directors.
- Identify and manage business risks and insurance requirements.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and financial controls for efficient operations and compliance.
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and investment strategies.
- Translate financial data into meaningful insights and support strategic decisions.
- Develop budgets and ensure staff are trained in budget development and fiscal accountability.
- Analyze financial data and present reports to the CEO and Board of Directors.
Financial Reporting and Compliance
- Oversee program financial reporting for funding sources.
- Serve as the primary liaison with the independent Auditor for annual audits.
- Prepare financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Monitor investment compliance and provide timely reporting to the CEO and Board of Directors.
- Manage the agency's liability insurance program and administer the 401k plan.

Qualifications
Essential
- Experience in an organization with an operating budget of over $30M
- Experience reporting to Board and team development
- Ten+ years of senior financial management experience.
- Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university (Master's degree preferred).
- Leadership and managerial experience in non-profit social service and governmental funded agencies
- Proven experience and leadership in developing policies, system implementations, automation and building infrastructure in a growing organization
Preferred
- HUD expertise
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software packages. Working knowledge with Accufund is a plus.
- Experience with MediCal or health care-related services is a plus.
- Valid driver's license.

Lifehouse Agency is a highly respected agency in the field where employees are fully appreciated. Excellent benefits package including health, HRA, dental, life, LTD, FSA, pet insurance, and a 401(k) with employer match. Salary is highly competitive and is based on experience. The salary range is $200K-215K.
