Chief Financial Officer (Cfo)

• Title: Chief Financial Officer
• Salary: $350K - $450K
• Requirements: VP or C-Level SaaS exp ($250M+)
• Location: 100% remote (w/ travel)

Our client, a leading Fintech poised for enterprise scale, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to plan, lead, and communicate their organization’s financial strategy. The ideal candidate will be proficient in all aspects of financial management, ranging from accounting to broad investment/banking operations, risk management, and international operations.

Responsibilities

• Guide large cross-divisional/international teams
• Review/ensure application of appropriate internal controls, statutory compliance, and financial procedures
• Assess/evaluate financial performance of the org with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets, and forecasts
• Oversee all accounting, finance, tax, treasury, audit and risk management functions for a high growth fintech poised for enterprise scale
• Provide insight/recommendations to short-term and long-term growth plans
• Work with other department heads to monitor each department and make recommendations
• Create/establish yearly financial objectives that align with company’s plan for growth and expansion
• Coach and foster the growth of a team comprising senior managers and/or directors (5 direct reports) and provide oversight of accounting/finance function (20 - 30 person team)
• Oversee cash/currency transactions, and work with investment team and bankers to raise additional capital required for expansion
• Ensure timeliness/accuracy of financial and management reporting data
• Identify/recommend opportunities for expansion into new business areas
• Partner closely with CEO, COO, and other executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for strategic growth
• Represent company to banks, financial partners, institutions, auditors, and officials
• Analyze operations to identify areas in need of reorganization or improvement

Requirements

• Entrepreneurial, hands-on mindset with a proven track record identifying areas in need of reorganization and process improvement
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business accounting, or finance (MBA/CPA is a plus)
• 10+ years of progressive experience in Accounting and Finance, 5+ years in an executive leadership role at a large SaaS or financial services company (250M +)
• Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence – ability to lead and motivate
• Experience in public/private accounting is preferred
