MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree with emphasis in public, judicial or business administration and 6 or more years of progressively responsible experience in a court system or related area, including 4 years of supervisory experience at a senior management level; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Juris Doctorate not required but maybe substituted for a master's degree and preferred.
Licensing Requirements:
May require a valid Georgia driver's license. Affirmation as a sworn Deputy Clerk of the Court.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities:
Requires knowledge of general principles and practices of budget development and administration, legal terminology case and calendar management. Theories and principles of court administration. Laws, rules, and regulations governing juvenile court operations. Court practices and procedures. Juvenile justice codes and sentencing requirements. Community resources and social services agencies related to juvenile justice. General office practices, procedures, equipment, and technology.
Requires skill in Supervising staff. Organizing and prioritizing work. Developing and managing budgets. Resolving problems and decision making . Delivering high quality, customer-focused service. Developing, implementing, interpreting, and enforcing rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Performing effective legal case and calendar management. Preparing documents and reports. Using spreadsheet, database, word processing, presentation, and other software. Building sustainable working relationships with other County personnel, officials, and the public.
Communicating effectively with coworkers, supervisor, and the public. Generating enthusiasm and support for program objectives.
Examination:
The examination will consist of an evaluation of education and experience accomplished by analysis of the application. Application must document that the applicant possesses the minimum knowledge, skills, education and experience as listed to be qualified. If selected, an official, accredited college transcript is required, at time of employment, for all degrees/course work used to qualify for this position

Purpose of Classification:
Directs all non-judicial functions and operations of the Juvenile Court under the direction and guidance of the Chief Judge. This position performs work of unusual difficulty, ensuring the quality of all processes and programs, legal compliance with all statutory regulations and County policies, and work that may involve matters of a sensitive or political nature. Effective leadership and management of all employees is also an essential function of the position
Essential Functions:
The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Responsible for the the day-to-day operations of the Juvenile court, including administrative support to the judges, managing support operations and serving as a liaison to judicial partners and county administrators,
Accesses efficiency of operations and programs within the juvenile court . Works with the Chief Judge to implement or improve court policies, practices, procedures and programs. Provides contract solicitation, and knowledgeable of contract negotiation and administration.
Maintains and oversees case management records and provides data for all justice partners. Supervises court administration staff, including hiring and terminating staff, job performance, and handling employee concerns.

Physical Requirements:
Work is typically performed in an office-like environment. May work in high conflict situations and with difficult, sometimes dangerous parties. Positions in this class typically require sitting, standing, walking, mobility, fingering, driving, talking, hearing, and seeing. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
