JOB SUMMARY
Job Profile Summary
Support NGL pipeline, storage, and processing operations by providing expertise in liquid sampling acquisition, analysis, advanced interpretation & communication of results, maintenance of historical database, provision of technical resource for operations relative to quality control and quality assurance, and operation, maintenance & calibration of analytical equipment deployed throughout the system.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Purchase and method development of new equipment and instruments
  • Collaboration with other Chemists, lab techs, and Measurement Technicians
  • Operation of analytical equipment employed in NGL operations
  • Support of measurement function for all of NGL operations (storage, processing & pipeline.)
  • Proper documentation of results & timely communication with operations personnel as warranted
  • Technical measurement, equipment maintenance and operation included but not limited to: gas chromatographs, sample cylinders, composite sampling systems
  • Understanding and correlating of the impact of analysis results on measurement balances
  • Represent NGL operations through participation in appropriate industry groups, teams, & committees
  • Training support for processing, product quality, and environmental training
  • Training & technical support of operations in proper use and maintenance of measurement equipment including but not limited to: gas chromatographs, sample cylinders, composite sampling systems, and collection of samples in the field
  • Stewardship of QA/QC processes, procedures, test methods, and application of standards
  • Provide technical input to projects that support ongoing QA/QC performance
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field with job related experience in applicable measurement functions, or an equivalent combination of formal education and the following job related experience:
Work Experience
  • Experience compiling and generating various types of reports pertaining to measurement data, system performance, training materials, etc
  • Experience reading and interpreting vendor communications, contracts, reports, technical manuals and publications, and correspondence
  • Experience and/or training related to:
    • Electronic data handling applications
    • Measurement process analysis functions
    • Word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications such as Word, Excel, and Access.
    • Database structure and measurement system interface with ONEOK measurement application
    • Communications/interpersonal skills
