Chemical Operator Jobs

Responsible for the safe operation of multiple processes and use of SAP ERP system. Perform various operations procedures for chemical processes. This role requires the successful candidate to work a swing shift rotation.
Primary Responsibilities

• Operate multiple process equipment (i.e reactors, blenders, powder operations, belts, columns, etc.)
• Perform necessary inspections
• Perform in-process and final product testing
• Perform inventory and cycle count activities
• Monitor, package, mix chemicals used in production processes

Other Responsibilities

• Perform simple mechanical troubleshooting.
• Load finished products to tank trucks, totes, and drums
• Maintain safe and clean work environment
• Perform other tasks as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Job Qualifications & Experience

• 2 years chemical plant experience
• Must be willing and qualified to wear a respirator

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent

Special Needs/ Special Skills/Other

• Possess good hand-eye coordination
• Good verbal and written communications
• Must be HazMat certified or willing to be trained
• Basic computer skills and aptitude to improve
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds without assistance
• Must be medically qualified to wear a respirator
• Ability to work on your feet, walking and standing, for extended periods of time
• Ability and willingness to work in outdoor weather conditions
• Ability to perform arithmetic operations quickly and accurately
• Ability to work independently
• Aptitude to understand technical concepts
• Team player work ethic
• Ability and willingness to work weekends and swing shifts
