Chaplain, Part Time Evening

Position Summary:

Demonstrates professional competency in the delivery of spiritual care and spiritual care services. Works with the Director of Spiritual Care and other members of the Spiritual Care team in supporting the goals and objectives of The Valley Hospital; goals and objectives of the Spiritual Care Department; and individual goals and objectives as jointly determined with the Director of Spiritual Care. Serves as an active and participatory member of the interdisciplinary staff of the hospital.

Qualifications & Education

Masters Degree from an accredited School of Theology. Ecclesiastical endorsement and/or ordination by a recognized religious community. Completion of a residency program in CPE. Certified by a nationally recognized certifying Spiritual care organization or agency such as the Association of Professional Chaplains, the National Association of Catholic Chaplains, or the National Association of Jewish Chaplains. Effective communication and interactive skills to deal with clients of varied age groups (from early childhood to old age) and clients with various disabilities and social/economic backgrounds.
