Associate Director, People - Us (Part-Time)

HR Kickstart is a boutique HR & business consulting firm that helps fast-growing businesses attract, develop and retain its most valuable asset: People!

We’re currently hiring for one of our clients who is looking for a savvy HR partner to step in and lead their people function in the US office. Currently headquartered in Europe, this media company has recently expanded to the US and has plans to grow! This role reports to the Chief People Officer in Europe and will work closely with the US leadership team.

What you’ll be doing:

• Ensure all areas for the US are compliant and up-to-date with federal, state, and local requirements
• Work collaboratively with the centralized People team to adapt the overall people strategy and people initiatives for the US
• Lead the L&D initiatives for the US in collaboration with the centralized L&D team
• Support the centralized recruiting team with US recruitment efforts
• Responsible for all functions of the US People Team
• Oversee US payroll & be the key relationship partner for the US payroll company, resolving any critical or complex issues
• Be the key business partner to the US leadership team, managers & staff

The fine print:

• In office 3 days
• Base Salary: $45,000-$55,000 (aprox. 20 hours/week)
• Location: New York, NY (Penn Station area)
