Job Description
Key Responsibilities:


  • Demonstrate proficiency in managing middle-market size companies, leveraging financial acumen to drive growth and value.
  • Lead the integration of back-office operations for acquisitions, ensuring seamless systems migration and accurate opening balance sheet work.
  • Assume ownership of the CFO position, collaborating with executive leadership to drive success while demonstrating autonomy.
  • Leverage your expertise in working with Private Equity owned companies, understanding their unique requirements and aligning financial strategies accordingly.
  • Utilize your experience in service-based industries, emphasizing employee utilization, scheduling, and other factors crucial to operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Navigate and excel in a fast-paced environment, adapting to the rapid growth and evolving needs of our organization.
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in accounting, while a CPA qualification is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrate resilience and composure under pressure, particularly during sale processes and potential exits.
  • Display an energetic, driven, and assertive demeanor, inspiring and motivating teams to achieve outstanding outcomes.
  • Embody executive presence, exuding charisma and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of business issues and metrics, effectively communicating financial trends through monthly MD&A reports.
  • Exhibit a hands-on approach, willingly rolling up your sleeves to execute tasks and deliver results.


Qualifications and Skills:


  • Strong proficiency in financial analysis, reporting, and articulating financial trends in monthly MD&A reports.
  • Track record of success in service-based industries, with an understanding of the core drivers of employee utilization and scheduling.
  • Proven experience in a controller/VP of Finance/Director of Finance role, with a strong desire to transition into a first-time CFO position.
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting is required, while a CPA qualification is highly desirable.
  • Energetic, driven, and assertive attitude, fostering a high-energy and collaborative work environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of middle-market size companies, with the ability to apply financial expertise to drive business growth.
  • Resilience and the ability to handle pressure during sale processes and potential exits.
  • Excellent executive presence, exhibiting polished professionalism and charisma.
  • Familiarity with Private Equity owned companies, understanding their unique financial dynamics and requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate back-office functions for acquisitions, ensuring efficient and effective consolidation of financial processes.
  • Prior experience working with rapidly growing companies, effectively managing financial operations within a high-growth environment.
