Eagle Ford Overview
ConocoPhillips’ acreage is located in the sweet spot of the Eagle Ford tight oil trend, located in the Western Gulf Basin of South Texas. The company was one of the first to enter the play in 2009, and by year-end 2021 held approximately 200,000 net leasehold and mineral acres, primarily in DeWitt, Karnes, and Live Oak counties. Since field inception, ConocoPhillips has produced more than 600 million barrels of oil equivalent from the field and continues to build the Eagle Ford into a legacy asset with production expected for years to come. In 2021, net production from the Eagle Ford averaged 211 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day, with about 80 percent of the production coming from liquids.
Description
If you are selected as the Multi-Skill Operator (MSO) - Gulf Coast, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining Mainline Facilities to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of those facilities. You will ensure ConocoPhillips commodities flow to sales points, as measured by cost to operate, lost profit opportunities, off-line time, number of facility trips, and reportable incidents.
This is a Safety Sensitive position.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Entering hauling requests, work order creation, flare outage, compressor, dehydrator reports, defect elimination, GWR validations, PM-05 documentation & various personal and process safety reports
- Operating and maintaining the Eagle Ford circulation system of High-Pressure Gas, Low-Pressure Gas, and liquids (Oil, Water, and NGLS) from the wellhead to the sales points, as well as the recirculation of gas back to the wellhead
- Assisting in troubleshooting and resolution of operational issues
- Aligning with all safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures outlined in the ConocoPhillips Management System
- Acknowledging alarms and actioning to closure
- Working minor hands-on production equipment repairs to maintain safe operation
- Operating a company-provided vehicle to perform job duties in a safe manner
- Completing critical checks to minimize downtime events of off skid equipment. (Separators, dehydration, H2S gas treatment, compression, chemical injection, storage systems, and gas & liquid measurement processes
Basic/Required:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, or an alien admitted as a permanent resident, refugee or asylee
- Work weekends and be on call
- Climb heights up to 24 feet to gauge tanks
- Use hand tools to make minor repairs
- 3+ years of experience operating and troubleshooting dehydration units, pumps, compression equipment including startup and shutdown
- Work both in and out of a company-owned vehicle
- Walk, bend, stoop, lift, push, and pull
- Work in temperature extremes or adverse weather conditions
- Work in several different geographic locations every single day
- Currently reside or be willing to relocate within a 40-mile driving radius of Kenedy, TX
- Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to travel 10% of the time on a yearly basis
- 3+ years of direct experience with oil and gas production practices, equipment, and terminology
- Willing and able to perform/align with following (with or without reasonable accommodation):
- Work in temperature extremes or adverse weather conditions
- Work in several different geographic locations every single day
- Work both in and out of a company-owned vehicle
- Wear appropriate special safety equipment
- Climb heights up to 24 feet to gauge tanks
- Walk, bend, stoop, lift, push, and pull
- Use hand tools to make minor repairs
- Work weekends and be on call

- Current/Valid driver's license
Preferred:
- Builds effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions that are safe and ethical

- Basic proficiency with Microsoft O365 applications: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams and Word
- Bi-Lingual in Spanish and English
- Ability to react to visual and aural signals, alarms, and instructions
- Associate's degree/Trade certification or higher in Production Technology, Process Technology, other related technical field, or foreign equivalent
- Ability to read and understand production and financial reports
- Delivers results through realistic planning to accomplish goals
