Cashier/Host Jobs

Chook on Orchard is looking for a part time Cashier to help through the summer months.Interesed applicants please apply online or stop by the shop between 2pm and 4pm Monday through Thursday. The Cashier/Host is responsible for being a welcoming first point of contact with all guests in Chook Charcoal Chicken, properly entering orders into the point of sale system, serving guests beverages when ordered, and assisting on the floor with all other roles when needed. Reports to: Restaurant ManagementFull-Time (35 to 40 hours/week) or Part-Time (15 to 20 hours/week)Hourly ($20/hour – combination of base hourly pay and tip pool percentage)Availability: Must be able to work mornings, days, weekends, and evenings with a flexible schedule that may change often. Potential staff will need to communicate school, other work, and all other special schedule requests prior to the beginning of employment. Performance Expectations of the Cashier/Host:Welcomes all guests in a positive manner. Correctly takes orders with Chooks standards of service. Assists guests with beverage needs after taking their orders and during their entire time at the restaurant. Only serves alcohol to guests over 21 years of age and follows the Chook Identification Policy for all alcoholic orders. Maintains a clean work station and restaurant while on shift. Performs pre-shift side work duties, running side work throughout shift, and closing or end of shift side work with attention and care. Fills in any role that may be needed during a shift. Maintains clean dining areas, restrooms, and kids areas throughout the entirety of every shift. Clears food and drinks for guests. Refreshes non-alcoholic beverages for all guests dining in the restaurant. Polishes glassware for beverage service. Appropriately asks questions when necessary. Appropriately asks for help when necessary. Follows all safety procedures at Chook. Arrives on time for all shifts in a clean uniform with good personal hygiene.
