Job Description

Bluewater Hayes is a nationally recognized search firm focusing on Technically Oriented value add placements for companies throughout North America. Our client is a large privately held U.S.-based manufacturing firm with nationwide operations. A leader in their industry with over 3,000 employees, they service a global customer base with products that impact lives every day.


They are currently seeking a Cash Application Specialist for their headquarters in the Greater Philadelphia area.


In this role you will:


  • Liaise with other departments such as customer service, parts sales, warranty, sales representatives, and sales managers to resolve customer payment deduction issues
  • Assist other credit department personnel when necessary
  • Process and distribute customer statements and invoices/credit memos as required
  • Make customer collection calls and follow up on past due invoices
  • Application of cash receipts in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Coordinate application of cash receipts from all sources including lockbox, wires, and ACH payments
  • Analyze, research, and resolve customer payment deductions
  • Reconciliation of cash application to bank records at month-end
  • Assist with financial audits and check for discrepancies in financial accounts


What you'll need:


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
  • Receivables automated lockbox system experience is a plus
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle R12 is a plus) and all Microsoft applications
  • Ability to deescalate customer interactions when necessary.
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience required
  • Excellent communication, research, problem-solving, and time management skills
