Job Description

Our client is seeking to bring on multiple Social Services Caseworkers to serve families seeking asylum across New York City. The right candidate is Bilingual in English/Spanish, has a bachelor's degree in social services or equivalent experience, and is well-versed in handling cases in a culturally sensitive and trauma-informed manner.

Job Details

  • Perform intakes, registrations, and assessments with utmost care and compassion
  • Manage cases in English and Spanish
  • Set up translation services and coordinate interpreters
  • Refer clients to community programs, medical services, schools, immigration services, and other organizations
  • Pay Rate: $28 per hour

Skills and Qualifications

  • 1+ year experience working with vulnerable populations
  • Must have excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Must have experience managing caseloads
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Services or equivalent experience
  • Solid understanding of trauma and experience delivering trauma-informed services
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
