Job Description

Seeking Remote Disaster Case Managers in Florida, to conduct outreach to and detail needs assessments of households impacted by the disaster.


Responsibilities

  • Connecting clients to existing nonprofit and government services for resources and referrals, including program requirements
  • Minimum of two years of work experience with case management, public housing, or disaster recovery related work
  • Maintain case records in an efficient and timely manner
  • Frequently update clients on application and grant progress throughout the process
  • Working closely with program leadership, staff, and applicants to ensure that applicant fully understands program requirements
  • The case manager will work one-on-one with clients to develop goals and evaluate progress
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Transition for clients to sustainable affordable housing
  • Assist clients in completing necessary paperwork for their long time goal achievement, referral services, and supplemental documentation as needed
  • Input client data, case notes, and resource referrals into client casework and financial aid records system, etc
  • Maintain and track an active caseload
