Job Description
Description

The Children and Family Services (CFS) area of Human Services is seeking a Case Management Assistant to work with internal and external stakeholders. This candidate will complete administrative tasks and foster a positive work climate in a virtual setting. CFS is seeking an effective communicator who can balance the many components of case management, successfully work in a team environment, and who possesses strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills. This position will work with staff that serve families experiencing disparities in quality-of-life outcomes and requires someone who values strong collaboration with families and Hennepin County professionals.

Location and hours:
This position is hybrid and will be performed both on-site at 7051 Brooklyn Blvd, Brooklyn Center, MN 55429 and remote as job duties allow. This position requires staff to work varying hours between 8:00 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday and scheduled occasional Saturday mornings.

New employees who are hired into remote or hybrid positions between January 2, 2022, to December 31, 2024, will receive
$500 toward the cost of establishing consistent internet connectivity, payable upon completion of 6 months of employment.

In this position, you will:
  • Assist as needed with Facilitation of Child Passenger Safety instruction to our Children and Family Services foster parents and applicable employees.
  • Creating a liaison role with specific vendors to assist CFS employees in obtaining excellent services
  • Complete data entry into our systems (SSIS, ECF) and create reports for our service area
  • Provide administrative support to our Children and Family Services staff.
  • Gather documentation: medical and birth records, education records, and coordinating with the service area to create efficiencies.

Need to have:
  • One of the following:
    • Two years or more of responsible, paid social service experience providing direct client service.
    • A two-year human services certificate.
    • Two years or more of college coursework in the behavioral sciences.
