Job Description
Summary


Carpenter Route Operations (Montana) Description:


Cut, fabricate, and install wooden and other structures according to project specifications. Manage customer project from start to finish with little to no supervision while on customer locations. Working in diverse settings and climates to produce quality functional infrastructure and products related to the project. Provide excellent customer service to all Golden Route Operations customers. Communicate effectively with all company employees to accomplish organizational goals.


Essential Functions And Responsibilities


  • Build quality products to ensure strong and long-lasting results.
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position
  • Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed.
  • Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service to customers and team members at all times.
  • Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other materials according to measurements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Working with little supervision while meeting all safety requirements while operating any and all tools in the carpentry shop.
  • Maintain clear direction and communication to all staff reporting to you in a professional manner.


Requirements


Qualifications


  • Must be skilled in the use of all carpentry power tools.
  • Able to think logically and practically before making decisions; understand business implications of decisions; use independent thought, originality and reasoning; prioritize work and implement timely and workable solutions to problems; work with integrity and ethically; maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Must be able to read written instructions and comprehend verbal instruction given in English.
  • Follow instructions and respond to management direction in a reliable and trustworthy manner; complete tasks on time or notify appropriate person with an alternate plan; use time efficiently; follow-up on all projects until completed.
  • Must be insurable by the company.
  • Must be able to fabricate counter tops/drink dividers using high pressure laminate and contact glues.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial carpentry.
  • Demonstrate willingness to make significant contributions with little direction; voluntarily start projects; anticipate what needs to be done; attempt non-routine jobs and tasks; exercise judgment and independent actions within limits of authority.
  • Must have basic mathematical skills.

Physical Requirements


  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up 100 lbs.
  • Must have sense of smell, sound, touch, hand/eye coordination, manual dexterity, and normal vision range.
  • Ability to ascend or descend ladders, scaffolding, ramps, poles.
  • Must be physical able to move in a fast pace environment.
  • Use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.
  • Work for sustained periods of time maintaining concentrated attention to detail.
  • Regularly walk, stand, kneel or stoop.
  • Ability to distinguish between shades of color.
