Cad Data Clerk Jobs

Turner Industries Group is looking for a CAD Drafter to join our team at a jobsite in the Tuscaloosa, AL area. This position will be responsible for drafting detailed construction drawings, topographical profiles and related maps and specification sheets for use in planning and construction at this site. Certified in AutoCAD and the ability to learn PCMS data entry. CAD operators will be responsible for creating drawings of piping circuits and equipment.

• Must have the ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions
• Ability to understand a process P&ID, preferred
• AutoCAD knowledge, required
• Pass background check and drug screen

Functional Requirements

Plots maps and charts showing profiles and cross-sections, indicating relation of topographical contours and elevations to buildings, retaining walls, tunnels, overhead power lines, and other structure; drafts detailed drawings of structures employing structural reinforcing steel, concrete, masonry, wood and other structural material; produces plans and details of foundations, building frame, floor and roof framing and other structural elements; may accompany survey crew in field to locate grading markers or to collect data required for revision of construction drawings; performs additional assignments as required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED
• Must be self-directed and detail oriented
• Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational skills
• Two years of year of experience in specified skill
• Experience utilizing CAD software
• Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others at the workplace

Location: climate controlled office environment at fabrication facility, shop walks may be possible

Mobility Barriers to Access Job Site: possible uneven ground level, obstructed pathways

Climate/Environment Conditions at Job Site: predominately indoor climate, exposure to various noise levels caused by tools, machinery equipment etc., while in shop areas.
