Job Description
Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Buyer/Contract Administrator!


About The Role


In this role, you will negotiate and procure corporate marketing, printing, office supplies, IT-related technology, and software according to established policies and procedures. You will also be responsible for various contract administration functions for the procurement team.


What You Will Do


  • Work closely with internal business units to support the business with ongoing supplier management
  • Purchase marketing and corporate printing materials
  • Assist with office supply vendor management
  • Purchase IT hardware, software, and professional services
  • Coordinate and stay with the regulations of USPS guidelines
  • Ensure all contracts are maintained in our database with consistent naming conventions and metadata
  • Solicit, negotiate, analyze and awards bids to qualified vendors
  • Create and analyze product and financial reporting for internal business partners

Compensation


Salary Range: $55,000 - $91,700 plus eligibility for annual bonus program


Requirements


Your experience and skills


  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Works productively independently and as part of team
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Exemplifies knowledge of contract law, accounting principles and finance
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Great at relationship building
  • 5-7 years procurement work experience, specifically in contract administration
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving
  • Effective negotiation and decision-making skills
