This position reports into the Procurement Manager. Position locations: Michigan or Minnesota with the majority of the role working remotely.
Main Responsibilities:
- Identifies, develops and implements savings projects and reporting to include pipeline development, project execution, and financial validation. Engages supplier organization and internal stakeholders to achieve project milestones and action plans
- Leads the procurement engagement in new product introduction, approval, and setups. Assists in the integration of acquired companies as required
- Ensure assigned spend is fully documented, categorized and reproducible in the procurement system(s)
- Works with the business to address questions & needs surrounding suppliers, markets, materials, and services
- Manages internal and external customer service level requirements, strategic inventory levels, supplier metrics and process improvement plans
- Leads procurement work stream and acts as supplier liaison in quality problem resolution. Identifies, evaluates, recommends and implements quality improvements along with corrective actions
- Leads, manages, and communicates status of alternate supplier approval projects. Collaborates across RDE, supply chain, quality, regulatory to ensure project milestones and action plans are met
- Works with supply planning, plant network, or other appropriate functions to develop forecasts, Learns S&OP process Implements procurement systems and process improvements to drive efficiency and effectiveness
- Learns and applies Total Delivered Cost (TDC) sourcing process tools and skills to support sourcing initiatives
- Investigates, develops and drives actions to remedy supply disruptions and constraints. Effectively communicates updates to internal stakeholders
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or related field
- 3-5 years of related professional experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in contract negotiation
- Demonstrated History of Cost productivity
- Demonstrated professionalism and strong presence in interactions with others
- Experience with MRP systems, SAP preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment with multiple competing priorities.
- Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated teamwork and project management skills
- Plans to start, or progress toward an advanced degree in business, finance or a related area
- Strong understanding of supply chain concepts.
- Demonstrated skills in clear communication and effective presentation
- Demonstrated strong self-management and leadership.
- Demonstrated competitive drive and strong orientation for results and achievement
- Demonstrated history of leadership
