Job Title: Buyer

Location: Greater Tampa Bay Area

Job Purpose: The Buyer will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, identifying cost savings opportunities, and implementing sourcing strategies to improve supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities of the Buyer:

• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate supplier capabilities.

• Analyze spend data to identify cost savings opportunities and develop sourcing strategies.

• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to achieve cost savings and improved supplier performance.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that sourcing strategies align with business objectives.

• Monitor supplier performance and identify areas for improvement.

• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure continuity of supply and improve supplier performance.

• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for sourcing activities.

• Manage supplier risk and develop contingency plans as needed.

Qualifications of the Buyer:

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.

• 1-3 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management is preferred

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and develop insights.

• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to negotiate contracts and agreements.

• Real willingness to learn with high energy and business acumen

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams.

• Experience with sourcing and procurement software is preferred.

• Knowledge of ERP Systems is preferred.
