Job Description

A Global Manufacturer located in Delaware County is hiring a Buyer to join their Procurement team. This Buyer will report to the Purchasing Manager and oversee the Procurement of direct materials, collaborate with Planning Team, Quality, Materials, Production to manage vendor KPI, quality, engage in vendor negotiation, relation management and drives vendor improvement. The ideal candidates should have experience in supplier management, RFQ, RFP, review bids and contract with suppliers, collaborate with sales team, production, planning, quality and based on inventory level to expedite PO processing. This is a permanent opportunity with lucrative base compensation, benefit and growth.


Responsibilities:

· Report to Purchasing Manager and collaborate closely with Sales, Planning Team, Production, Engineering, Quality, based on demand and production volume to expedite PO process of direct materials.

· Manage POs status, expedite orders with suppliers by effective communication with suppliers and carriers on order status, shipping status, etc.

· Collaborate with sales, production to ensure on-time purchasing of services and good, ensure an effective replenishment strategy and meet production demand.

· Obtain quotations from suppliers, monitor requisitions, and identify volume requisition and recommend to management for purpose of re-negotiation of contracts, terms and pricing.

· Collaborate with Quality team to manage supplier quality, support supplier root cause analysis on non-conformance issues and support supplier corrective action.

· Work closely with engineering, sales, and quality and Global headquarter to support new product development, ensure new suppliers and new materials are set up in ERP systems regarding terms, prices, etc.

· Review suppliers’ bids, negotiate more favorable contracts and pricing based on purchasing trend, select new suppliers and recommend to management for further qualifications.

· Manage supplier performance based on KPI and Scorecard, identify supplier performance issues and inform management of corrective action and improvement plan accordingly.

· Collaborate with Accounting team to monitor billing and invoice regarding purchasing order, reduce invoice discrepancies in a timely manner.

· Close collaborate with all internal customers, provide excellent communication and customer service to internal and external customers & suppliers.


Qualifications:

· bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

· Recent years of tenure in Procurement, Buyer, Supply Planner within manufacturing industry

· Experience in engineering blueprint and drawing

· Solid knowledge in MRP/ERP, and Excel

· Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skill.

· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawing and blueprints

· Attention to details and excellent people skills.

· Excellent communication skills with both internal and external customers.

· Able to pass background check and drug test, proven track record of employment history.
