Job Description
  • Manage and design the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
  • Coordinate with business units to identify and provide end users with appropriate computer and technology deliverables (e.g., hardware, software, equipment).
  • Assess tests and implement new or upgraded software and assist with strategic decisions on new systems.
  • Troubleshoot and identify IT related issues with hardware and software inventory to prioritize necessary fixes to end users’ issues in a timely manner.
  • Utilize computer and telecommunication assets to document hardware and software inventory usage. Report on productivity.
  • Help develop reports and analysis.
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance.
  • Support initiatives for process maturity and normalization.
  • Provide technical guidance and timely follow-up to users of desktop and laptop computers, desk and mobile phones, tablets, multifunction printers, software, and telecommunication systems.
  • Process confidential data and information according to guidelines.
  • Candidate must have lived in the US for the past 5 years.
  • Manage inventory of computer and technology devices; coordinates IT deployments within an assigned office to ensure standardization of configurations. Facilitate hardware and software updates to end users including imaging and deployment activities to support and maintain inventory management.
  • Train end users on new reports and dashboards.
  • Provide IT support to business units and end users (e.g., on-site users, remote users) for escalated requests.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of experience; or master’s and 7+ years of experience; PhD or JD and 4+ years of experience.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and make recommendations on current and proposed systems and architecting cost-effective solutions to ensure systems developed make the most of resources and technology available in meeting business requirements.
  • Respond to trouble tickets and requests in a timely manner. Document all issue resolutions through trouble ticket tracking system. Escalate complex issues to management and keep management informed of resolution history.
  • The enforced dress code is business casual, i.e., collared shirt with slacks for men, no skirts above the knee for women.
  • SELECTED CANDIDATES WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION TO RECEIVE IT.
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen or permanent Green Card holder.
  • Facilitate the installation, maintenance, and security of large-scale computer and telecommunications installations.
  • Tier One Technologies has an immediate need for a Business System Specialist that specializes in Enterprise Computing Support (ECS). The candidate will provide desk-side and remote support, telecom and network services support, program management services support and executive leadership support. ECS requires assistance with the technical and workload volume demands such as resolving executive leadership tickets, inventory management and support for in-person/virtual executive leadership meetings. This on-site position will be located in Washington, DC.
  • Evaluate changes and update to source production systems.
  • Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
  • Ability to pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check.
  • Research emerging industry best practices and trends to identify the latest information technologies that are introduced into the marketplace.
  • Generate reports from single or multiple systems.
