Our offer delivers an IoT solution which enables customers to manage and optimize their entire fleet. The IoT solution includes a high-performance SaaS platform and a family of embedded devices which are installed in assets and vehicles to provide real-time telemetry data feeds.

Today, as part of the Michelin group, we have 800,000 connected vehicles across Europe, North America and Latin America. Our ambition is to be the #1 global fleet management business and, as such, we are expanding into new markets.

Position Summary:

PURPOSE:

  • You will have the opportunity to understand our customers’ needs, generate new offer ideas, design specifications for differentiated technology solutions, lead the execution of offer delivery and ensure the product’s success in the marketplace.
  • To create a clear vision of future offer opportunities, activities, plans + processes required to drive the commercial growth of our business in prioritized segments (specifically our LCV segment focusing on Delivery of Service & Last Mile Delivery).
  • Experience in the Fleet Management space will be advantageous for this candidate.
  • To create a clear strategy and roadmap of how / when to achieve this vision, including resource requirements and commercial risks specifically representing the North American market.
  • We are looking for strong candidates who are as comfortable thinking about the offer’s business case and market potential, as working with the technical teams on delivering a solution to market. This is a unique opportunity to fully own and drive the end-to-end success of innovative IoT services and solutions.
  • Our North American Offer Development Team is growing, and we are looking for an insight driven and energetic Business Segment Director.

Primary Responsibilities:

CUSTOMER-LED SOLUTION DESIGN:

  • Through this customer insight, plan the North American offer evolution and prioritize them based on our company strategy and the market potential.
  • Translate prioritized offer ideas into differentiated services and products, drafting the rit specifications to win in the marketplace.
  • Define the go-to-market strategy and approach; identifying and bundling the appropriate solutions to deliver against clearly identified customer needs. (Using existing offers and defining new offers needed) (Leverage across BVFM for strategies and solutions)
  • Understanding the relevant markets, trends, competitors and customers through studies and participation in fleet industry events, spending time with fleet operators, and by sharing knowledge with other external-facing colleagues. (Working with MINT and insights teams, as well across the BVFM)

OFFER MANAGEMENT / DELIVERY & SQUAD LEADERSHIP:

  • Work with the Global Product Development teams and with external partners on this product delivery, representing the potential and need for resource prioritization.
  • Collaborate with Sales on business development initiatives and continued value generation with the target companies. This includes supporting Sales for bids to requests for proposals from the target companies.
  • Lead segment squad team to deliver successful offer launches by collaborating with technology, sales, marketing, operations, supply chain and other colleagues.
  • Work closely with cross-functional colleagues to secure internal alignment for product roadmap.
  • Identifying and proposing supplier deals - such as strategic partnerships, selective acquisitions, and investments in new technology and innovative start-ups – to integrate the solutions offer.

OWNERSHIP & MANAGEMENT:

  • Manage assigned “segment” health and portfolio of offers through their entire lifecycle, ensuring their continued success and value delivery to clients following launch.
  • Represent MCF NA within the BVFM meetings of the major initiatives with the target companies.
  • Act as the business owner and squad lead for your segment and offer portfolio, managing your squad to drive efficiency and quality.
  • Be commercially responsible for segment P&L , focusing on development of the business case (vs. market potential) and ongoing tracking of service and solution metrics.
