Job Description

We’re searching for a skilled Business Operations Analyst to oversee projects in the workforce development space. The Business Operations Analyst works closely with process owners to identify, document, and implement process improvements, providing data visualization and statistical analysis. They will be responsible for using data to tell the story for multiple projects, prioritizing deliverables, and providing regular updates to various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively across cross-functional teams, providing value at every stage of a project from requirements gathering through business process mapping to operations analysis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Tell a story through visualized data analysis in order to provide decision support to cross functional teams, highlighting issues and opportunities
  • Create process roadmaps, prepare and deliver business insights to management, enhance others understanding of organization strategy and processes
  • May lead special projects or teams
  • Extract and deliver useful statistics and insight from business data in order to drive both operational improvements and business strategies
  • Works with key decision makers to ensure cross-functional alignment and synergy
  • Review baseline data to establish key metrics for assessing the success of individual projects, as well as the initiative as a whole
  • Responsible for performing ad hoc queries, data extracts, and data analysis to produce actionable information around key decision making
  • Define and obtain data collection, research, and reporting activities for assigned line of business initiatives
  • Understand the business problem, identify complex issues, prepare and execute a planned approach for one or more line of business initiatives.
  • Review, identify, analyze, and create detailed documentation of business processes and supporting systems

  • Contributes to the development of a supportive and collaborative work environment through active participation in internal collaborations, team, and activities.
  • Provide a high level of customer service for existing and prospective program partners through transparent, accessible, and open dialogue about the organization’s strategy and prospective projects.



Valued Skills and Experiences


  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence Tools such as Microsoft BI, Looker, or Tableau
  • 2 years of relevant experience
  • Familiarity with regression analysis
  • Great communication skills and the ability to work in a hybrid environment utilizing communication tools such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and GSuite
  • Familiarity with change management and/or process improvement
  • Certification in business or quantitative discipline
