The Business Intelligence System Analyst with a functional profile to bridge the gap between Business and IT in order to deliver value-added reporting and analytics solutions to our business leaders. Lead the requirement gathering and design effort for reports and analytics solutions. Participate in the full lifecycle of an analytics or BI project: from gathering and understanding the end-user needs over creating the functional design, supervising the detailed technical design and implementation, to preparing and executing the functional and product tests before handover.
Primary Objectives And Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain effective organizational working relationships and partnerships across the company to enhance enterprise utilization of data and analytical reporting.
- Documenting data definition and cataloging metadata requirement for enterprise BI and Analytical applications
- Gathering end user reporting and dashboard requirements using enterprise business requirement document (BRD) template
- Develop systems test plan components and test scripts
- Learning and fully understanding the data landscape in databases and applications
- Using and developing enterprise data integration processes
- Developing dashboards and creating reports and supporting users with them
- Reviewing and validating data
- Works with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes to data systems.
- Acts in a collaborative function for research design, data collection, interpretation, and presentation.
Qualifications
- Understanding of Kimball dimensional data modeling methodology; ability to explain and interpret conceptual, logical and physical models for operational and analytical systems
- Participated in implementation of large-scale cross enterprise MDM and/or Data Warehouse implementations
- Knowledge of: SQL, Multidimensional Modeling (Erwin or similar tool), BI toolsets (Microstrategy, Power BI, Teradata)
- Solid communication, presentation and analytical skills
- Understanding of T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, PowerShell, Dashboard Reporting
- Comprehensive understanding of current principles, practices, and techniques of Systems Analysis, Business Analysis, and Business Intelligence.
- Familiarity of any of Cloud (Azure, AWS) based Data Integration and Orchestration solutions
- Proven track record of minimum Six years' experience in executing successful, large, complex data warehouse projects with retail environments, pulling data from multiple sources
- Strong SQL query building knowledge
- Familiarity of NO-SQL database and other data structures like JASON, Avro, etc.
- Previous consulting experience is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any other engineering discipline
