JOB SUMMARY:
The business systems analyst, or systems analyst, oversees business systems gathering and analyzing information or data, and determining where to make improvements. The duties include working with management and end users to gain an understanding of how the computer system of the business works and how it could work better.
SCOPE:
The primary scope of work is to support the growth of the company through proper analysis of business needs and maintain technical documentation that guide the development effort and tracking through release to production, assist with researching and troubleshooting issues with applications, and collaborate with data security, privacy and compliance efforts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Analyze existing systems for improvement, recommend new system processes, and keep detailed reports of all structural and process changes. This includes analyzing 3rd party systems specifications and capabilities, and mapping those capabilities to business requirements.
● Oversee how each new requirement or piece of functionality fits into the overall business process through business and functional requirements documentation, working with the project teams through the release management process and validating the outcome or product that was delivered.
● Follow best practices and align with company goals while creating better procedures and solutions to increase performance and revenue.
● Analyze company software and hardware uses, and research and compare hardware and software needs to make recommendations to improve processes, reduce cost or increase efficiency.
● Assist technology leadership with timely documentation and reports on systems effectiveness, service level agreement performance reports, key performance indicators and blockers to projects or deliverables.
● Able to perform technical gap analysis and cost comparisons to help drive business decisions or reduce business risks.
● Participate in pre and post-deployment tasks and activities to minimize issues during go-live of a property. This requires meticulous analysis of standard and unique requirements of the project, verifying configuration parameters, participating in rollouts, and assisting with post-testing onsite as needed.
● Solicit feedback from stakeholders including satisfaction surveys and subjective feedback.
KEY SUCCESS INDICATORS:
● Number of accepted proposals or suggestions accepted by the business and implemented or enforced.
● Number of defects or issues found post-deployment.
● Number of meetings to rework requirements or change requirements.
OTHER DUTIES:
● Must comply with company policies and operating procedure manual
● Adhere to confidentiality rules and all other company policies, procedure and rules
● Perform other job duties as assigned and participate in special projects at management’s request
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
● Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or IT related field. Candidates with at least 4 years of relevant experience in a business systems analyst role will also be considered.
● Proficient with standard business tools such spreadsheets, word processors, diagramming and presentation and collaboration applications.
● Excellent interpersonal skills and solid communication with all levels of management and able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
● Technical with business systems administration, cloud systems and back office systems (CRM, ERPs) are highly desirable.
● Experience with requirements analysis for data security/privacy, and regulatory compliance (gaming, SOX) and security frameworks are also a plus.

● Onsite and remote position in Las Vegas.
● This position may require travel.
● Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
● Constantly operates a computer and other office machines, such as a telephone, copy machine, and office printer.
● Frequently communicates with co-workers and clients in person and over the telephone to answer questions and provide assistance.
● Must be able to identify and assess information on computer screens and written reports and documentation and record accurate written and electronic messages and reports.
● Occasionally must be able to move and lift office equipment and materials up to 25 pounds.
● Work is performed in an office environment behind a desk with a three-foot access where the noise level is usually low.
