What you can expect as a Business Analyst at Fortress:

The Business Analyst will analyze the operation of the Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) function to ensure that the team is working effectively with a deep focus of efficient processes to drive growth. This is an overly critical function of the internal SBOM team to meet service level agreements for our clients.
You will begin by analyzing current processes and systems; utilizing your critical thinking skills and challenging yourself to create an environment that maximizes output from the function. After your initial analysis, you will be responsible for identifying gaps internally and providing a solution to ensure the utilization of the group is clearly recognized while providing transparent and measurable output.
The continuous deliverable in this role will be to implement a solution which the business can fully depend on to provide excellent service to our clients.
Responsibilities Include

• Perform daily data cleansing tasks
• Engage with other department stakeholders to ensure consistent data quality in client deliverables
• Ability to manage third-party data partners, including service-level adherence and quality of deliverables
• Leverage programmatic means to solve technical problems (e.g., complex SQL/noSQL queries, Excel formulas/macros, python scripts, etc.)
• Create processes for reporting and identifying anomalies
• Create documentation with flowcharts, process manuals, responsibility matrixes and other tools
• Leverage data from multiple systems and databases to solve business problems
• Create dashboards using technologies such as Tableau, PowerBI, or Google Looker

Minimum Qualifications

• Critical thinking and problem solving
• Clear understanding of business goals and cost-benefit analysis
• Microsoft office, writing proficiency, work in a team
• Hands on professional knowledge of the business analysis process (BPA)
• Ability to effectively analyze current processes and implement improvements

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Data Science, or related fields

Preferred Licensing/Certifications

• Certified Analytics Professional (CAP)
• IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
