As a Business Analyst at Resource Data, you will work directly with clients to add value by helping development teams be more effective and successful. Your role will involve reviewing systems, suggesting improvements, facilitating data exchange, and system integration within businesses. Strong communication skills, proficiency with software packages like Microsoft Office and Visio, and exposure to IT projects are crucial for success in this position. This is an entry/junior/experienced/senior level Business Analyst position. You will collaborate with stakeholders, analyze business processes, produce documentation, and contribute to important discussions. Your objective analysis and ability to navigate potentially difficult client situations will be key to achieving project success.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Identifies potential business risks.
• Candidate will conducting business analyses and studies, needs assessments, requirements analysis/definition, and cost/benefit analyses to align business systems, solutions, and initiatives.
• Develops and analyzes metrics, performance measurements, requirements, reports, and recommendations related to management, organizational structure, policy/procedures, and business systems.
• Prepare forecasts and analyze trends, reporting regulations, and business conditions.

Desired Qualifications and Certifications:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Alternate education/experience accepted: Associates + 3 years, or High School + 5 years
• Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM field
• 1 year of relevant professional experience in business analysis a plus
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Experience in data analysis and modeling
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with modeling, simulation, and computation methods and a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in a non-STEM field may be substituted for a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM field
• Pro-active approach to problem solving and assigned tasks

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience applying a variety analytical and computational methods, including Classical and modern statistics, Differential equations, Linear algebra
• A Master of Science degree in a STEM field is highly preferred.
• Experience using a variety of modeling and simulation methods, including Discrete event simulation; Agent-based modeling; Network simulations: Physics-based modeling; Markov decision processes; Hidden Markov models; Stochastic processes; Monte Carlo and bootstrap methods
