Business Analyst, Cloud Services

Job Summary

We are looking for a Business Operations Lead / Data Analyst who is interested in shaping the future of Centric Software Cloud Services. You will work closely with infrastructure and finance stakeholders to forecast and provide impactful analysis, insights, and recommendations as the primary manager of our cloud infrastructure budget and spend.

This position will report to Senior Director of Cloud Services.

Responsibilities

• Partake in creating, maturing, and governing Cost Optimization policies and best practice
• Develop and manage project plans that will drive changes resulting in reduced and optimized spend
• Manage process improvement initiatives to optimize operational effectiveness and efficiencies
• Lead and drive tagging requirements to ensure proper tracking and reporting of data
• Partner with the infrastructure, engineering, and product teams to understand the cloud demand forecast and to develop and maintain cost forecasting models to provide required insights on current and future cloud spend
• Monitor, understand, manage, and report on cloud spend
• Prepare Financials for QBRs
• Partner with Licensing to track hosted customer license revenue and to improve the process
• Functions financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting
• Public Cloud Governance
• Drive migrations to alternate cloud platforms to optimize cloud spend
• Work to fully understand our product and the way it is architected and deployed in the cloud, and the associated costs for each portion of the environment
• Review cloud utilization and make recommendations on strategy, planning, optimization opportunities, product architectural recommendations to promote optimization.

Qualifications

• Certifications in Project Management PMI, PMP a strong plus
• Experience with large and complex cloud environments
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or business or equivalent work experience
• Passion for optimizing cloud costs and identifying utilization efficiencies
• Comfortable simultaneously driving multiple short-term and long-term complex projects, many with tight deadlines
• Understanding of creating ROI, TCO, and cost and utilization optimization strategies
• Expertise with Cloud billing tools, and Cost Management.
• Comfortable with presenting and working with all levels of the customer’s organization, from C-suite down
• 3+ years of experience with at least one public Cloud Provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP including making recommendations related utilization optimization, enterprise discounts, and cloud contract terms
• Proven track record for optimizing technology spend and managing significant technology budgets
• 5+ years of relevant engineering or business related experience
• Experience with BI tools, SQL queries, organizing data, and building reporting dashboards
• Extensive knowledge of cloud technology and cost components/drivers, particularly AWS & GCP

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $115,000 - $160,000 + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. The range for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed reflect base salary and certain positions may be offered additional variable incentives.
