For 9 years, we’ve had parents’ backs as they navigate the parts of parenthood you don’t usually see on the ’gram with honest and raw messaging to provide the answers to questions they didn’t even know they had. And, we’re just getting started.
How You Will Make An Impact
Reporting to the VP of Brand Management, the Brand Director of Innovation will be responsible for developing comprehensive analyses and extracting insights that drive our innovation roadmap and product development strategy. The Brand Director of Innovation will work cross functionally to identify new Frida opportunities by analyzing consumer insights data, defining product criteria and pricing, and building project briefs to set up R&D teams for success in executing on opportunities while achieving financial business goals. Responsibilities to include:
  • Work cross functionally to achieve brand objectives while delivering brand building strategies
  • Consistently conduct market analysis to understand market trends and generate powerful insights to understand what drives our consumers to purchase
  • Clearly articulate product requirements for Industrial Designers, Engineers, and executional teams that set up the project for success
  • Recommend optimal product pricing for new product briefs reflecting market research, competitive intelligence, and performance analytics for product launch across retail channels
  • Develop R&D and portfolio strategy that supports Frida’s long term business strategy
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to routinely evaluate the performance of products in market to refine plans, SKU strategy, and maximize market presence
  • Collaborate with Consumer Insights team to conduct research on new innovation/product concepts
  • Other projects as assigned
  • Own innovation roadmaps including white space opportunities, extensions, and expansions
  • Become a brand and category subject matter expert in launch of innovations
  • Work with internal teams to leverage sales and consumer insights and translate into cross-channel marketing initiatives with clear KPIs
  • Own the innovation launch timelines, driving multiple product launches across the business
  • Evaluate a broad set of data inclusive of consumer data, brand studies, sentiment analysis, reviews, and business performance data to inform product briefs and opportunities
What You Will Need
  • Excellent communicator with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Proactive, can operate autonomously, but also collaboratively as part of a team
  • In-depth understanding of brand development with appetite to dig into market trends, consumer insights, and category dynamics
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, or similar focus
  • 8+ years of experience in Brand Marketing, preferably in CPG
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once, strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Business Suite including PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to write up and validate consumer concepts for innovations and communications
